How your journey with us will start.
Good oral and dental hygiene and health is at the heart of everything we do at Oakwood Dental Practice, and as such, every patient’s journey starts here. It enables us to build the foundations to enable us to get the very best results for you.
Beyond that, if necessary our team of expert dentists will build a treatment plan for you so that we can reach your goals and give you total confidence in your smile.
Before your first examination with us you’ll have a complimentary telephone consultation with our Treatment Co-Ordinator Emily. Emily will give you an introduction to our Practice and take some basic information so that she can set up your first examination and consultation. It’s the perfect time to ask any questions you have, and a great introduction to Emily who you will also meet at your first dental examination.
Your examination and clean
Your first examination with us will be a combined appointment with our Treatment Co-ordinator, Emily, and your dentist.
During this appointment we’ll complete a thorough examination to check your oral health, including:
- Taking state-of-the-art intra-oral digital scans
- Taking clinical photographs
- Performing a full teeth, gum and soft tissue assessment
- Screening for oral cancer
- Performing dental x-rays
We’ll also review your medical history and talk through any dental concerns that you have. If treatment is recommended we’ll discuss all of your options with you, including costs and finance options. Emily will also talk you through our membership plans so you can reach optimal oral health with excellent value for money… and get additional discounts from any upcoming treatments.
Immediately after your examination you’ll see one of our experience Dental Therapists for a Hygiene Therapy session to inlcude:
- Thorough descale to remove plaque and tartar build up
- Biofilm removal using state of the art Airflow system
- Tailored oral hygiene and tooth brushing advice
There’ll be plenty of time for you to ask any questions and discuss your options – there’s no hard sell where we’re concerned, just a passion to help you reach your dental goals.
We’ll follow up with you directly with details of any suggested treatment plans, and Emily will also be on hand to co-ordinate everything for you from start to finish.
Finance
Spread the cost of treatments over 6, 12 or 18 months with interest free finance. We work with Tabeo Finance to make treatments more accessible and affordable.
