You’ll be joining a team of experienced dental nurses to help provide clinical support to dentists, hygienists and patients.

Located in Oakwood, North Leeds, we offer the full range of family dental services from regular checkups, hygiene appointments and children’s dentistry to advanced cosmetic treatments such as dental implants, teeth straightening and whitening.

- Permanent, part-time contract:
8.30-5.30 Monday to Wednesday
12:30-8pm Thursday - Saturday availability required (approx 1 in every 4-6 weeks)

Your day-to-day role
An average day for you will involve:
- Preparation of the dental surgery including equipment, instruments, materials and labwork
- Providing chair side support to our clinicians in delivering a wide range of procedures
- Assisting in the recording and maintenance of accurate patient records
- Assisting in the smooth running of clinics, maintaining a safe and clean workplace throughout the day
- Ensuring the highest standards of infection control and carrying out impeccable decontamination of dental instruments and equipment
- Maintaining accurate surgery and decontamination room checklists and logs
- Providing excellent customer care to all patients.
- Supporting in practice administration as required
- Supporting with reception duties as required
This list is by no means exhaustive, but gives a good snapshot of your core day-to-day responsibilities. Beyond this, you’ll also work closely with our fantastic team to help further improve patient experience, maximise efficiency and implement processes. There’s always room for improvement and we’ll welcome your input and ideas as we strive for excellence!
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in Dental Nursing
- Level 3 Dental Nursing Qualification or equivalent
- GDC Registered
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to navigate challenging conversations
- Polished appearance

- Organised, thorough and conscientious
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
